CelebrityEnvy: LeBron James

The NBA superstar has taken his talents to L.A. and purchased a second eye-catching Brentwood mansion for $23 million.

LeBron James has always been a baller. The 4-time MVP winner and perennial All-Star, who signed a 4-year contract with the Los Angeles Lakers in June, will be enjoying all that L.A. has to offer from the comfort of a luxurious $23 million residence that he purchased in December 2017.

James’ ties to the City of Angels were strong even before he inked the deal to play basketball in L.A. His production company, SpringHill Entertainment, signed a studio deal in Burbank, California, back in 2015, the same time he bought his first home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. That 9,500-square-foot property has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and was bought for north of $20 million.

James has significantly upgraded his digs with his latest purchase, evident in the higher price point ($23 million), larger living space (15,846 square feet) and the marble prominently featured throughout the interior. The home’s all-white facade is perched atop a long driveway, up from the street with views spanning from downtown to the Pacific Ocean. Built in 2017, it has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and a slew of top-tier amenities fit for the King.

The main level’s open floor plan blends seamlessly thanks to a stylish combination of white marble and French oak flooring. James’ custom chef’s kitchen is outfitted with white marble countertops and island, French oak floors and. The stainless steel appliances, including an oven range made by French manufacturer La Cornue, are accented with gold, creating the ultimate air of elegance.

The kitchen opens up into a massive great room with floor-to-ceiling sliding pocket doors that provide tons of natural light and effortlessly connect the home’s indoor and outdoor spaces so James and his family can enjoy the L.A. weather. The outdoor patio also has white marble floors and houses an outdoor kitchen, complete with barbeque and beer taps. The patio looks out onto the sprawling yard with an oversized pool.

The upper level continues to impress with its four ensuite bedrooms, including the master suite that is trademarked by his-and-hers bathrooms made entirely of marble and multiple giant walk-in closets. James can either choose to spend time on the master suite’s private patio or hop on the elevator that brings him to the home’s sprawling rooftop terrace.

If all of that isn’t enough to make you as envious of James’ new abode as we are, the action-packed lower level should do the trick. Extravagant yet functional, it houses a guest suite, a gym that opens up to the outdoors, and a full spa complete with a steam room, sauna, and massage room so James can work hard and relax even harder. The lower level also boasts a home theater, a game room with a pool table, and an auto gallery sure to impress, but our favorite amenities are undoubtedly the 1,500-bottle wine cellar (with separate wine tasting room), cigar room (with air purifying technology) and onyx-lined wet bar. With digs like this, James is as well-equipped to entertain off the court as he is on it.
