Crain’s Chicago Business: One Lincoln Park Street Sees Two Sales Above $4.7 Million

The homes are the fifth and sixth highest priced ones to be sold in Chicago so far this year.

The luxury real estate industry is thriving on one specific street in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. According to Crain’s Chicago Business, a high-end homebuilder sold two homes on Burling Street for more than $4.7 million each.

The most recent home sold by Barrett Homes is an eight bedroom, 7,300-square-feet property. Its near-twin a few doors down was sold back in January, and features the same space. They also both boast an elevator that serves all four floors, a roof deck and five full bathrooms. These homes are the fifth and sixth highest prices home sales of the year so far in the Chicagoland area.

It’s not surprising that these homes sold for such high prices—Burling Street is known for its mansions. And given that these houses were built to be wider and shallower than others in the area, they stood out to buyers looking to move into Lincoln Park.
